Overview
Creating dynamic social media marketing assets for Figma Edu to elevate brand awareness and drive student engagement.
The challenge
Creating interactive designs that align with Figma’s bright, and bold brand identity.
I designed a basketball bracket template as a meta reference to Figma itself, recreating their desktop UI to mimic the experience of designing in the app while actually looking at a static design. Most notably, my graphics featured responsive & customizable elements such as “ text fields” and “comments” in Figma’s colors and styles. I added these aspects as a way to let users make my template unique and their own and incentivize sharing.

My Work
Scripting, filming, and editing a promotional video for social Figma’s Instagram.
At the request of Figma's design advocacy team, I also scripted, filmed, and edited a short promotional video using Final Cut Pro. I took inspiration from both Figma's current content curation and popular social media trends at the time to create a video that highlighted Figma as a powerful yet beginner-friendly design tool. This video was then shared across Figma's social media, namely Linkedin and Instagram, where I was showcased as a selected designer.

Developing my marketing skills as a designer and becoming a one-woman marketing team.
This project challenged me to hone my skills as a marketer through developing a solid marketing strategy that my designs and video would then fit into. Because this was a finite project, I was able to experience being my own marketing department responsible for delivering a project from start-to-finish.
